Heute war ich in Interlaken, Switzerland

Interlaken is a small village between two lakes, Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. And it's also between mountains. I spent there few hours. Very nice, small village.

I went there by train. It took about 1h 40min from Zofingen, because I had to change trains two times. First in Olten and then in Spiez . I stepped out in Interlaken Ost and I walked through the city to Interlaken West.

That was my quick visit to Interlaken. One more place which I would like to visit again when there's snow. On the way back, I had to change trains only once, in Bern. Duration 1h 30min.

Brugg, Aargau

Another day in the new city...

Brugg is  a municipality in the Swiss canton of Aargau. Brugg is also the Swiss German word for bridge. We spent there few hours waiting for my gf´s sister from her final school test.. First look of this town didn´t impress me much. Near that school was normal business/industrial looking buildings.. Nothing special so far..

But then I heard that there´s an old town part and a long river called Aare is flowing through this old town.

Ok, I want to go there, now, please ! Soon we found a part of this old town. Cool ! Weather wasn´t so cool it was hot, about + 30 degrees, but I´m not complaining..

First look at the river Aare.. River Aare is 295 kilometres long, it rises in the great Aargletschers (Aare Glaciers) of the Bernese Alps, in the canton of Bern. It´s a long river, but when it´s flowing through the Brugg´s old town, it´s only about 10 meters wide.

That was funny sign and so today :-) We do not have wifi, talk to each other !

After walking and after this school test was finished, we all went to a Migros restaurant for a lunch. New thing for me was that in this restaurant you will take a plate and choose what kind of food you would like to eat, take as much you want, and after that you will pay for the weight of this food. I liked that idea.. Of course there was also normal meals from the menu. After lunch we bought some drinks and went to a park to sit on the grass for a few hours. Relaxatiooooon !
